Functional narrative |
Synbindin is a transport protein that consists of two monomers both containing disordered residues. This protein can exist in one of two states (i.e., opened or closed), with the opened phase being more prone to order because of the creation of a hydrogen bond at Lys154 thereby exposing the hydrophobic groove on the protein. May play a role in vesicular transport from endoplasmic reticulum to Golgi.
