Functional narrative |
The short isoform interacts with the extended kappa 3 site of the TNF alpha promoter after Fc gamma RIII stimulation and participates in the induction of this cytokine. The long isoform is either inactive or represses the transcriptional activation.Phosphorylation by CKII could regulate DNA-binding activity.
Belongs to the bZIP family. CNC subfamily.
Contains 1 bZIP domain.
